For unit 1 I have researched lots of photographers for inspiration .I explore photographers techniques and processes to help me develop an idea of what to do and how to do it.one photographer who I really like there work is Hannah hock.By looking at her work I wanted my work to involve a face and look abstract .I like the way it turned out to be because it looked very abstract and I really enjoyed doing abstraction because it was new to me and it was very interesting with what the photographers do to make there images . I explored the theme street photography and it was one of my favourite .The starting point of my street photography project was by taking pictures of looking over the shoulder, shadows and reflections and looking down .I really enjoyed doing this because it was fun the way I had to take the images because I normally wouldn't of took pictures like this. One photographer that I researched was boogie, I liked the way he took his images because when he was taking them he was taking a risk and and it really said a lot about the streets and how they are . I like the way he went into depth by going close up and taking pictures of guns that dangerous people were using . Another theme that I explored is photograms . I started photograms by looking at 2 photographers Ethan Jantzer and christian shad.I looked at both of there work with a lot of interest because I really liked the way they both done photograms because they are using the same technique but they look very different ,but out of them I really like what Ethan Jantzer does because its a photogram with colour and its is quite unique the way it is because there aren't much photographers that do it like him.Another photographer that I really liked was Lazlo Moholy Nagy . I really like the way he done his photograms because its a person but its like the person is looking both ways without moving its head . When. I started doing photograms I really was confused to how it works and I wasn't enjoying it much but after I had more practise I stared enjoying it more and then it was one of my favourite projects that I done .Some of the work I done for it I really liked and I was really proud of how it came out . Another project that I done was pinhole photography . I was really shocked to how pinhole photography was done because it was something I have never seen before .The way our class done it was we all had to make our own cameras with like coffee tin and gravy pots and I found that really fun because I didn't know how it was going to turn out and if it was going to work .When I made my first image I was Really happy because it came out really good and it was better than I thought it was going to be. I liked that way we had to put it in chemicals to because I already knew what to do because I had experience from when I done photograms . Another theme that I explore was edges . when I first started doing edges I was really confused on what to do because I thought I only took pictures of straight things but when I got into depth I found out much more to it.As I done more of this I realised that everything had edges and it was really interesting . One of the artists that I found really interesting is alma hazer . The reason why I really liked this work is because I liked the way her work is based on a face and I liked the way there are lots of lines all over the face kind of making it look deformed .I also liked her because she is unique because there are not other photographers like her that do edges with her technique .I wanted to do my work like her but I wanted it to look different so I made my images of people with origami so what I done was I printed lots of the same images and then I made it into origami and put it together and created a piece that looks like hers . Another theme that I explored was Chemigrams . When I done chemigrams I realised why it was called that because it is made like photograms using chemicals .I started doing chemigrams in the dark room and I had lots of fun when doing it .One of the photographers that I found interesting was Pierre cordier .I found his work interesting because I really looked like a chemical reaction took place and it looks very interesting . I like the way he made his chemigarms because it was a little different to the way I done it .At the end I liked the way it ended up because it was abetter looking reaction and it had more detail. Another theme that I explored was light painting .When I first saw light painting I was really exited to doing it because I was really confused to how there were drawings of light in the image .One of the photographers that I researched was Gjon mili.I really liked the way Gjon mili done his image because he took pictures of people dancing and painting light around them .I also like the way he drew it because it looks random but it kind of resembles to what the image is trying to show .When I first done light painting it was a very good experience because it was very unique and I never knew how to do it .It also showed to me that there Is much more to photography than I thought .
