Hiroshi Sugimoto is a Japanese photographer and architect from Tokyo.he sees his work as an expression of time exposed ,he also focuses on transience of life .Sugimoto is inspired by the works of marcel Duchamp.A lot of his work is focused on mechanism and he takes pictures of machines but most parts . The pictures look really interesting because they don't really have much in the image but the way the machines are placed and framed makes it look really good.I like the way the the parts of the machine fit into each over. The image looks really goo because of the way the colour of the images contrasts .These image parts are kind of industrial so its quite interesting because you don't see much machines that are like that .The image really stands out because there is a black background and it gives all attention to the machine .

Richard Kagan started doing photography at his university . Most of his work is focused on antique machines and tools . He also taught at a arts university for 10 years and he put some of his furniture in exhibitions throughout the U.S.His work is very similar to Hiroshi Sugimoto but his tools are a bit different to his .Richards work is using more like rusty tools that is junk so it kind of makes the image look bit dirty but it still is really interesting .I like the way he makes the tools right in the middle of the frame so it looks really focused and gives all the attention to the tool .His work is more based on tools that are used on machines so its different to Hitoshi Sugimoto . Im really interested in the first image because he built something with tools that kind of resembles an animal .

Kawazu is a German photographer. One of his first attempts at taking images that relate to machinery was at a cold wintery day.He was walking home and It caught his eye .I like how his image look because they are big parts of machines that if the machine didn't have it ,it wouldn't work. I think that the image with the rusty chains look quite interesting because of the way its still in place and being used . when he took these image it covers up a lot of the image so that there isn't much gaps in the image .I think it works quite well how the Machine still has water dripping from it .I also like the way that the machines that he photographs are quite old and industrial.

This isa news article that has a lot of information about his work. He started shooting images of knobs and dials when he met a collector mark Gluskert. He first got a mechanical calculator from a family friend .He started documenting the complex machines .He is interested in a lot of techniques such as diptych and he makes basic objects look more interesting when it paired with another image .When he does diptych he really makes the images relate to each over in a really interesting way.I. can see that the machines that he photographs are made of very small pieces that are put together .I like the way some of the machines look like shoes .The process of making these machines look very complicated and puzzling .
